In the charming historic district of downtown Boerne, you will find a mixture of quaint antique boutiques with charming hospitality, specialty stores, art galleries, along with delicious cafes and restaurants. Stroll along Main Street and enjoy galleries, museums, antique shopping, turn-of-the-century architecture, gardens and “river walk”. Boerne provides all the ambiance of a larger city, with a relaxing setting for a gateway vacation.
Entertainment is the name of the game at the 200-acre Six Flags Fiesta Texas. The park offers distinctly themed areas, each reflecting a part of the state’s vast culture, through design, food and, of course, entertainment. Seven large theaters located in the miniature villages offer ongoing musical and comedy shows. Action-packed rides include the Rattler, the world’s tallest, fastest wooden roller coaster, Die Fledermaus, a traditional swing ride, the new Bugs.
One of the largest zoos in the country, with over 3500 animals and 750 different species, the zoo offers a unique experience.
The Alamo is a worldwide attraction, where tourists want to see the old mission where Texans stood their ground and fought. The Alamo is centrally located in downtown San Antonio and surrounded by many gardens, pond, visitor center, and museum.
Take a day trip to see the scenic Hill Country and view the tree-studded limestone hills to the claim of “Texas’ friendliest people”. The clear running streams only add to the charm of the historic towns. In the month of April see the famous Blue Bonnets and other wildflowers. Day touring can be done in several days, but it’s best to absorb them at a slow pace.
Impressive limestone formations and caves surround the Hill Country, however, there is a special cave, “A Cave Without a Name”. Some say the most beautiful in Texas, but definitely too breathtaking to be named. The cave is easily accessible and it is a comfortable 66 degree climate to visit year round for the entire family.

The clear-flowing water of the Guadalupe River, with banks lined by huge bald cypress trees, is the 1939 acre park’s most outstanding natural feature. This 5211.7 acre park, located east of Johnson City, is located along the banks of scenic Pedernales River. This area, formerly the Circle Bar Ranch, typifies the Edwards Plateau terrain.
